Supporting Victims, Strengthening Systems, and Seeking Justice
to Combat and Counter Human Trafficking, Forced Labor, and Legal Exploitation
Release the Captives exists to combat the evils of human trafficking, forced labor, and exploitation and to promote justice, freedom, and dignity for all people in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
We identify victims of trafficking, forced labor and those facing residential crisis in the KRI. Our legal team works to collect testimony and evidence that will be critical in finding a solution.
We offer workshops and seminars to professionals, businesses, organizations, and KRI officials, helping them to identify victims and prevent future crimes and crises.
We equip organizations, institutions, and individuals who share a mutual mission with established facts concerning identified victims and criminal actors and provide connections to pursue justice.
Release the Captives (RTC) operates within the Kurdistan Region of Iraq with the support of a number of collaborators including both local authorities and international associates.
